About
Voyager Philanthropy

Vision

A world where philanthropy enables communities to thrive.

Mission

To empower donors to give generously, increase their impact, and find fulfillment.

Values

Caring - the Greek root for the word philanthropy can be translated to “loving people.” The definition for Philanthropy according to Merriam-Webster is “goodwill to fellow members of the human race” and “an act or gift done or made for humanitarian purposes.” At Voyager Philanthropy we sum that up as caring not just for ourselves and people, but even more broadly to living beings, the planet, and beyond.

Giving -  Doing good is our mission. We help our clients and our communities give in all ways to make a difference.

Trust - Mutually trusting relationships enables everything we do. Respect, responsibility, and clear communication help maintain strong trusting relationships.

Equity - Creating better futures and meeting needs for others starts by understanding and addressing where individuals have experienced different treatment, problems, and challenges. Together, we listen, understand, and address challenges to advance thriving and equitable communities.

Partnership - Philanthropy is a team sport that includes Philanthropists, Advisors, Nonprofits, and more. Partners collaborate, communicate, trust, engage, and support one another. From resources to advocacy, partnerships bring about progress. We are in this together to make philanthropy and impact happen.

History

Voyager Philanthropy LLC is a client-focused firm that offers philanthropic advising services to individuals, families, family foundations, family offices, and their advisors. The roots of this firm is decades in the making and incorporate lifelong giving experiences and their lessons.

Why did we pick the name Voyager Philanthropy?

We took a bit of inspiration from the Star Trek series Voyager, where a starship and her crew under the leadership of Captain Janeway finds itself in the Delta Quadrant and sets out on a nearly impossible journey to return the Alpha Quadrant. It serves as a reminder of many lessons and tips including, that every act of philanthropy takes leadership, it is a journey that starts with where we are and it will have its ups and downs on the way, and it is a team effort to get there. Yes, please feel free to talk all about Star Trek with us!
